What we make

We make typographic merch for Latin social dancers, with one collection per style. It’s the same person at the same social, but salsa on Tuesday isn’t bachata on Wednesday, and kizomba and zouk want something else again.

The words come straight off the floor: the in-jokes, the small rituals, the thing you say at 1am when the DJ plays one more song. The type is big and plain, and it’s legible from across a dark room. Someone can read it, get it and answer you in the gap between tracks. It’s for the weekly regular and the festival traveller, the one who dances both roles and is still there for the last song. Leader and follower are drawn as two halves of the same print, with no hierarchy and no main character. Everything is cut light enough to go in the bag next to the suede soles, because that bag is heavy enough already.

Every piece is printed to order. Nothing waits folded in a warehouse for someone to want it. Yours is made after you choose it, so allow roughly two to seven days before it ships. We make fewer things, and each one is for someone who actually asked.
